Banana Plugs are used to make a speaker wire patch cable from the inserts to the Amp.They plug into the wallplate Inserts to the Amp/Receivers binding post.

Quick TIP :

When using Banan Jacks be carefull not to allow them to touch each other,this will cause the  Amp/Receiver to shut down (Thermal Overload) typically this occurs when you push the equipment back in the  cabinet or rack.A good method to avoid this is to use a clear tubing or shrink wrap,cut around 2" lengths then slide over Banana jacks to avoid shorts.
